Focoblocks. Effective 16 October 2026.
This privacy policy applies to the Focoblocks mobile app on Android and iOS, and any related services operated by FF CREATIVE LTD (together, the "Application"). FF CREATIVE LTD is referred to below as the "Service Provider".
FF CREATIVE LTD is the Data Controller responsible for processing your personal data.
To ask a data protection question or exercise any of your rights, contact the Data Controller using the details above.
The Application has no accounts and no registration. It does not ask you for your name, email address, date of birth, or any similar personal detail, and the Service Provider does not collect any of these from you.
The Application does ask for your age, as described in the Your age section below. You can choose "Prefer not to say" instead.
Everything the Application creates while you use it, including your age answer, coin balance, streaks, focus session history, chosen subjects and the blocks you own, is stored only on your own device. It is never sent to the Service Provider, and the Service Provider has no way to see it.
The Service Provider does not send marketing communications and operates no mailing list.
There is one exception to all of the above. If you choose to email the Service Provider, your email address and whatever you write are held for as long as it takes to deal with your message, and are deleted once the matter is resolved. They are not used for anything else.
The Application shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects information from your device, including:
This information is collected by Google through the Mobile Ads SDK included in the Application. The Service Provider does not receive or store it. Your advertising ID is a unique identifier and is not anonymous.
On iOS, the advertising ID is only available if you allow it when iOS asks whether the Application may track you. The Application only asks this of people who have said they are 18 or over. If you choose not to allow it, or are never asked, adverts are still shown, but without that identifier. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
Where the law requires it, the Application asks for your consent before this information is used for personalised advertising. You can change that choice at any time using the privacy option on the More page inside the Application. Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's own privacy policy, linked below.
Google may share this information with the other advertising technology companies that take part in its advert auctions. Where the law requires it, these companies are listed in the consent form, and you can see and change your choices for them there. The Application does not use any other advertising networks, and apart from Google and these companies, no third party receives information from the Application.
The first time you open the Application, it asks how old you are. Its only purpose is to make sure the adverts you see are suitable for your age. You can choose "Prefer not to say", and the Application works exactly the same either way.
Your answer is stored only on your own device. The number itself is never sent to the Service Provider or to Google. What the Application does with it:
So while Google never learns your exact age, it does learn that a request comes from someone under 13 or someone aged 13 to 17, when you have told the Application so.
The age question is always asked before the consent form is shown. Consent for personalised advertising is never relied on for anyone who says they are under 18: whatever they choose in the consent form, their adverts are not personalised. For anyone who says they are under 13, Google's consent system is also told that they are under the age at which they can give consent for themselves.
If you said you were under 18, the Application asks again once a year, so that your adverts can change when you turn 18. It does not ask again if you said 18 or over, or chose "Prefer not to say".
To change your answer at any other time, clear the Application's storage as described in the Deleting your data section. You will be asked again the next time you open it. Note that this also deletes your progress.
Where the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR apply, the Service Provider relies on:
If you do not give consent, Google may still show limited adverts that do not use device identifiers and are not personalised.
The Application does not use cookies. Google's Mobile Ads SDK uses device identifiers, including your advertising ID, to deliver and measure advertising. Where required by law, your consent is requested before these are used for advertising.
The Service Provider does not carry out automated decision making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
Personalised advertising involves profiling carried out by Google. It is only ever used if you have said you are 18 or over and have agreed to it in the consent form. You can decline it, or change your mind later, using the privacy option on the More page.
No. The Application requests no location permission and does not access your device's location. The approximate location described in the Advertising section is derived by Google from your IP address and is not precise location data.
No. The Application does not use artificial intelligence to process your data or to provide any of its features.
The Application uses the following third party services, each with its own privacy policy:
Google may transfer information it collects outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, Google applies the transfer mechanisms required by Chapter V of the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are in Google's privacy policy, linked above. The Service Provider itself transfers no personal data, because it holds none apart from email correspondence you start yourself.
Apart from email correspondence you start yourself, the Service Provider holds no personal data about you and therefore has nothing to disclose. The Service Provider may disclose information:
For the advertising described above, Google acts as a data controller in its own right rather than as a processor acting on the Service Provider's instructions. That relationship is governed by Google's controller to controller data protection terms, and Google's own privacy policy, linked above, explains how Google uses the information it collects.
You can stop the Application collecting any further information by uninstalling it.
Apart from any email you have sent, nothing is transmitted to the Service Provider, so there is nothing held by the Service Provider that could remain after you uninstall. Information already collected by Google is governed by Google's privacy policy.
To withdraw or change your advertising consent at any time, use the privacy option on the More page inside the Application.
The Service Provider operates no servers and stores no personal data about you.
Because everything is stored on your own device, you can delete all of it yourself at any time, without contacting anyone:
Either removes all Application data from your device permanently, including your age answer.
To reset or delete your advertising ID on Android, use the Privacy and Ads section of your device settings. On iOS, you can stop apps using it under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. To withdraw your advertising consent, use the privacy option on the More page inside the Application.
If you have any questions about deleting your data, contact the Service Provider at focoblocks@proton.me.
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and the Service Provider does not market it to them. Because children may still use it, the Application asks every user's age and protects anyone under 18, as described in the Your age section.
For anyone who says they are under 13, adverts are never personalised and Google is told to apply its child protections to every advert request. For anyone who says they are 13 to 17, adverts are never personalised and Google is told to apply its teen protections.
The Service Provider collects no personal information from anyone directly, including children. Age answers stay on the device. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern about your child's use of the Application, please contact the Service Provider at focoblocks@proton.me.
Data created by the Application is stored in the Application's private storage on your device, protected by your device and its operating system. The Service Provider holds no personal data on any server of its own, which removes most of the risk that a privacy policy of this kind usually has to address. No security measure can prevent every possible breach.
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, the Service Provider will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as required by law. Where a breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, the Service Provider will also tell you without undue delay.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be published here with a new effective date. Previous versions are available on request by contacting focoblocks@proton.me.
In practice the Service Provider holds no personal data about you other than any emails you send it, so most of these rights are exercised either on your own device or directly with Google.
If you believe your rights have been breached you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk. In the EEA, contact details are at edpb.europa.eu.
If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross context behavioural advertising, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
The Service Provider does not sell your personal information. Personalised advertising may count as "sharing" for cross context behavioural advertising under the CPRA. It is never used for anyone who says they are under 18. You can opt out of it using the privacy option on the More page inside the Application, by resetting your advertising ID in your Android settings, or by turning off tracking for the Application in your iOS settings. For anything else, contact focoblocks@proton.me.
Where processing is based on consent, you give it through the consent form shown inside the Application. You can withdraw it at any time using the privacy option on the More page, which does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
Questions about this policy or about privacy in the Application can be sent to FF CREATIVE LTD at focoblocks@proton.me. The Service Provider will respond within one month of receiving your request, extendable by up to two further months where necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, as permitted by law.
